History

Here at Kenworthy Monument Company, Inc. we have been in the business of making signs for over 30 years. Beginning in 1974, we first made wooden signs - including those of Ancestor Square in downtown St. George. Then in 1985, we moved the business from our home to Bluff Street in St. George and formed "Kenworthy Commercial Sign." At the new location we enjoyed an increase in customers. To accommodate the increase in business, we expanded our existing staff which was formerly comprised of our six children Cindy, Robert, Chris, Aleisha, Annalee and Bret, to include seven additional employees. In an effort to further expand the business we purchased an existing sign company in Provo, Utah in 1995 and renamed it "Kenworthy Signs and Monuments." Chris was attending Brigham Young University in Provo at the time and began managing the store. He was later joined by his two brothers, Robert and Brian, at the Provo store. In 1998, we changed the name of the St. George business to "Kenworthy Signs and Monuments" and moved the business back into the heart of St. George, where it currently resides at 735 East Tabernacle. Sence then, sandblasting has become a large part of our business. We specialize in sandblasting buildings, cars, wood signs, monument gravestones, large and small natural rocks and trophies.
